Learn the art of boxing and get in great shape in the process.

Our boxing club is the opposite of intimidating; first time and experienced boxers being coached alongside each other in a friendly, ego-free environment.

With 2 of the best coaches, emphasis is on sound technique with varied footwork, striking and defence drills.

Gloves can be provided although we recommend treating yourself to your own.

A fun, stress-busting class, no combat experience needed at all.

Fast-paced sessions that use a huge variety of exercises in a circuit format to fast track you to your fitness goals.

As every exercise can be regressed or progressed to suit the individual’s fitness level this class is accessible to everyone; this means you!

It’s a great fun group environment added to by the limitless energy injected by the coaching team.

An exciting blend of strength and combat training. 

This class combines weighted interval training with combat drills to give you a sweaty stress-busting workout sure to make you feel good.

Dance & Dumbbells

An dynamic class fusion of strength and resistance training with easy to pick up dance moves in a unique and dynamic training format.

The perfect blend of resistance and cardo training, weighted/bodyweight strength training intervaled with dance moves as active recovery, means that you will be in constant motion for 45 minutes to the most foot tapping tracks around.

Fighting Fit encompasses: fitness, combat and self defence 

Get fit and gain a holistic overview of the key areas of combat including striking, kicking, takedowns and groundwork

Functional Fitness

Functional Fitness

This class teaches Olympic lifting and gymnastics movements with an emphasis on correct technique.

These are mixed with a wide array of additional resistance and bodyweight movements, to create training sessions of varying formats, durations, and intensities.

  • Strength is frequently tested, which is so important for everyone!
  • It's fun, social, and inclusive; all the sessions are scalable for everyone.
  • Learning new skills is great and something we should all continue to do.
  • The associated mobility work not only helps your body move better but also makes you more injury resilient.
  • Progress is trackable; times, PB's are all recorded and periodically re-tested.

These sessions are coached by Sophie, Char and Vicky each with varying approaches and dedicated to make you work your socks off in each class!

A gentler version of our Pilates class, 45 minutes focusing on mobility for entry level or older participants.

Grass Roots Barbell

Grass Roots Barbell

A dedicated class for those on the Grass Roots Barbell Membership, available to year 10 & 11 students.

For those who want to lift barbells and train with a group of like-minded people, this is for you!

The barbell disciplines such as squat, deadlift and bench press (among others), are taught, coached, and signed off by one of our instructors, in addition to ongoing support, spotting technique, continual form checking and safe coaching cues as you develop your skills.

Grass Roots Induction

A compulsory gym induction for those wanting to join onto our Grass Roots Membership, available to year 9, 10 & 11 students.

We will teach you correct use of the weight machines, good gym etiquette and responsible gym use including tidiness and courtesy to fellow gym members.

This is a fast flowing and strong pilates class. We recommend it for those who have a sound understanding of pilates techniques and have a strong core.

The class will not only make you stronger and bestow the untold number of health benefits that come with it, but will also improve your mobility, movement patterns and confidence.

All experience levels are welcome; a more unthreatening, friendly, and eccentric bunch you couldn't hope to meet!

Our amazing Trudi Dawson hosts Yogalates on an 'ad hoc' alternative to yoga and Pilates.

A beautiful fusion of the two discplines, if you're accustomed to Pilates you will find this a welcome variation as your body will be shocked with the subtle changes the fusion creates.
